Booking: Monday-Friday Only A Pelvic/Transvaginal ultrasound is the study of the female pelvis. The pelvic ultrasound plays an important role in detecting pelvic masses of the uterus, ovaries, and/or adnexal areas. This ultrasound is preferred for the evaluation of acute pelvic pain. During this ultrasound we can identify ovarian torsion, ovarian cysts, and other pelvic conditions. If the patient has abnormal bleeding, the pelvic ultrasound can detect endometrial changes. Prep for Exam: Drink 32oz of water 1 hour prior to your appointment and DO NOT empty your bladder.
