Booking: Monday-Friday Only The Thyroid/Soft Tissue Neck ultrasound is used to investigate potential issues within your thyroid gland and/or throughout the neck. The thyroid ultrasound is used to diagnose and treat problems not only within the thyroid, but also the parathyroid glands and surrounding area. Most commonly, a thyroid ultrasound is used to evaluate for nodules. Prep for Exam: Do not wear clothing that covers your neck and do not wear a necklace.
